NATO LEADERS’ SUMMIT

NATO or OTAN, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was signed on April 4, 1949 by 12 countries. Members of the Organization are making joint defense against any external force. The headquarters of NATO is located in Brussels, Belgium, which is one of the 29 members of the central organization in North America and Europe. Nato has fulfilled its purpose of establishment by performing various military operations. To give examples; Bosnia and Herzegovina intervention, the Kosovo intervention, the war in Afghanistan and so on.

Although NATO is not a sub-commission of United Nations, or even an independent foundation, its basic principles and objectives follow the same path as the United Nations.
In the conference, which we have organized, we will discuss the agendas and address the global issues that need to be resolved. We expect the most suitable solutions for the end. It is really honor to welcome you in our committee which will be relevant, tense, fun and exciting.

*The members of the same countries’ working together in order to be in a consensus ensures more realistic progression throughout the sessions. That is why we desire the members of the same country to apply together as a delegation instead of applying individually.

Agenda Item:  Russian-Ukrainian Conflict / Embargo put against Iran / Reforming NATO Budget / Yemeni Civil War / Kosovo Issue

Under Secretary-General: Tufan BAÇAN
