GA-4: SPECPOL

The Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL) which is the fourth committee of United Nations General Assembly  handles a wide variety of issues such as “decolonization, Palestinian refugees and human rights, peacekeeping, mine action, outer space, public information, atomic radiation and university for peace.”

Since the topic for this committee is chosen as the disagreement between Latin American countries and USA which has been proceeding for a long time with huge costs and also finding a solution for the border dispute in Mexico which has brought along and is going to bring along serious results, the delegates in the committee are expected to debate about the important points like conditions in Latin America and US for the migrants, involved countries’ policies, people’s views from both sides which has been specified in the study guide down below.
